Grandma & Grandpa's

Mom and Abby split the day with Rees today (my mom was supposed to be getting a little break for the summer to do some stuff she couldn't get to threw the winter, but she can't go without her little Rees man for very long:) So they split the day and Rees came home exhausted. Take a look...

Aghhh. Grandma taught Rees how to operated the hose, not a good thing!

Child labor!!! Rees watered the flowers with a tiny cup from the water in his pool!

Such a busy little bee, making those trips to get that water for the flowers

That's mom's new flower bed that her and dad just built, it is so pretty!

And this is my favorite picture of the day ( I shot like 200 so that is saying alot when I pick one as a favorite)

I am so addicted to taking pictures. I never leave home without my big ol' camera bag! I am just looking for things to take pictures of these days! I even tried to pose the cat (an easier subject to work with than Rees is) so I could practice trying to get some bokeh (type of picture with a cool effect) but the cat kept rolling over on his backing wanting me to rub his tummy. So I'm still on my quest to shoot the Bokeh!

Buddies

We had a really busy day today. We went shopping at Walmart early this morning, came home ate lunch and invited Mason over to play. Mason is so great with Rees he has patience with him and tries to explain everything to him, it is adorable. After I unloaded groceries we went out to the pool, well let me re-phrase pool(s) I got one for my mom's house and thought I would be nice and pump it up for her, I was expecting a small pool since it was only $20, that thing was huge... then once we had it blown up the boys were playing in it so I went ahead and filled it up too. They had a great time check it out...

Then grandpa Rees stopped over and that was all she wrote, Rees wanted to hang out with him for a while,

then Rees got stung by a bug on his forehead and that really put a damper on things so the playdate was over and nap time began! Mason is such a sweetie he came in and ate a snack and watched cartoons until Vince came to pick him up. It was a lot of fun. I really love watching the kids all play, it's so hilarious the things they come up with!

Then we had dinner with the Toler side and came back home and played outside some more! It was a great day to be out and about!!! Hope all of you took advantage of the beautiful day too.

This is why I love photography

I had an amazing time this morning with the beautiful Sophie! She is turning one soon and came to me to do Birthday pics along with a few others that mom wanted. I had such a wonderful time photographing her. She was a complete angel! She posed so well and was so lovable and cooperative, it was a dream shoot! The pictures turned out even better than I could have hoped here are a few...

Playing around

When is it going to stop raining? I am so sick of the rain. It has been such a lazy day, Rees and I have been lounging in our pj's when I got the bright idea to go over to the studio and play with my new lights BAD IDEA! My little man is just so rambunctious that he can't sit still for even a minute. So here's how it went down. 1. we get over there and I try to sit him on a stool while I setup my camera 2. he falls off the stool (it's a short one so it didn't hurt him) but when he fell he scuffed up my flooring so I had to clean that. 3. I get it all setup then I sit him back on the stool and give him a sucker hoping it will keep his attention for a minute, no such luck he gets the sucker stuck to his shirt and that upsets him :) So I get threw that whole ordeal. 4. I snap a couple pics while he's moving around thinking a couple of them might turn out good. 5. He falls on the plywood that I am using as flooring for the backdrop and cuts his leg twice, and I mean HUGE cuts, blood everywhere, he's crying it's a nightmare. So we make it through all that I clean up and go to look at those pictures... I DIDN"T HAVE A MEMORY CARD IN THE STUPID CAMERA!!! Aghhh can you believe that???? An hour of terror for nothing! I can't believe that. But, thankfully Rees is okay and I learned my lesson, don't go over with him by myself until he gets older. So he wins... no more pictures with mommy! But i was in the mood to play so I did put this together from his birthday pictures that I took forever ago. I love storyboards!birthday-10x15-collagepost signature

The pond in all it's glory

hose of you that know me well know that I am addicted to flowers and especially my pond! I can't get enough of gardening and new flowers etc. You work your butt off in spring for these moments right here5

I think this is such a beautiful picture. here in a couple weeks there will be 20+ lilies in the pond in all different colors. Gardening is so rewarding and such a big stress reliever. Rees loves to work in the dirt with me, although he ends up pulling more flowers out of the ground than he does planting them, but he's learning (or so I tell myself:) ) Here is another one of my favorite pics from the flower be6

Doesn't that just make you happy? I love to photograph flowers, they always look so amazing on film. Okay, well I'm in the mood to go plant something now

Rain Day

So Rees had cabin fever this afternoon so when we got a break in the rain here's what we did:

Then when we came back in we had snacks. We are so lucky Bernie is such an awesome dog, he is so wonderful with Rees he deserves an award for all the crap he takes! Like this

Rees teasing Bernie with his cheese puff....He didn't give it to Bernie if you were wondering.

And this was during "cabin fever" time. I have told Rees a million times not to pull the cords behind the tv, and anytime he wants my attention what do you think he does??? Of course runs to those dang cords. (Man my tv's dirty, just noticing this)

And this was our evening :) . Oh FYI those new pasta bread bowls from Domino's...GREAT!!! It did put me in carb overload but it was really tasty! Just thought I would share!

A little behind

This week has run me a little ragged. I feel like a crazy woman; I keep working but nothing seems to get accomplished. I meant to post these pics yesterday but the day got away from me and I went over to the store in the evening so I could work uninterupted for a couple hours! Here are a few of him and his beloved pool.

Mat was throwing water on him...which he loves!

His Please don't make me get out of the pool look

And this was before I would let him get into the pool. He was really mad because it was right before that storm we had and I wouldn't let him get in so he copped this attitude...

He had a nice day. We went with Abby to town to shop for flowers and then ate at Pizza Hut, which I am happy to report Rees had some manors and didn't totally embarrass me! Not too much food went flying which that is a huge improvement for him right now! Gotsta Go get some work done!!!! I am doing a 1 year old birthday shoot tomorow! We are doing a cake smash and everything ... for a little girl!!! I am really looking forward to it. If her mommy doesn't care I will post some pics!
